The Dark Night

As it rains tonight
I stare into the darkness, for I believe in you and me
No darkness shall take me away from thee
No reason to shed a tear hence
I drew that line that day we met
For sadness is no more a friend

Each drop that fell on me
I stood there in my balcony
I let it wet me and I quivered as it teased me
I rushed back and sat by my windowsill
Slowly, I saw the empty spaces fill
For sadness was no more a friend

A tragic hero, numb yet despaired
Rose back from the dead
Decided to write a sonnet
To tell you my love
How I’ve missed the way I poured my heart out to you
I’ve missed the rain and the bond we shared

It promises to not stop tonight
Make all the music it does tonight
The drops that fall on my windowsill
The ones that touch my face tonight
In this dark yet promising night
You make me see all the seen; I had never seen.

I always wonder why your style of poetry impresses me so much. I think its because the imagery is so vivid. Awesome.
